SIVA SAKTHI LIBRARY :
Naduvoorkarai Sivasakthi villlage library was opened inside Manamagil Mantram building by Ex. Chief Minister Mr. K.Kamaraj on 24-04-1961. This Library was shifted to new building on 13-10-2019. New books were added to this library on the occasion of 60th year completion on 23-04-2021. Library Open Hours : Monday to Saturday Afternoon 1 PM to Evening 5PM.

GOVERNMENT LIBRARY :
This ‘Village Library’ was started with only a few books and members. The members number increased year by year, at the same time the need of the members have been fulfilled. The library was started without any facilities, and started with a small building in kovilanvillai. The lands required for the building was donated by people from Kootumangalam and the present library building was constructed in Kootumangalam in the year 2002. The books are arranged subject wise and being maintained serially in a big hall. To speed up the process of issue and return of books a librarian was available throughout the working hours A Librarian who is responsible for the whole library operation is available in the same hall to assist the users needs and administering the library function effectively. The reference section is functioning at the first room of the library. This section has been well utilized by the members who are preparing for the competition examination, and higher studies. By using this many members succeeded in getting good job and passing competitive examinations. Tamil and English daily papers and Tamil and English magazines are available in this section. This section is working for six and half hours a day between 9.00 a.m.to 12:30 Pm and 4.00Pm to 7.00 p.m. Students from nearby schools and colleges are also making use of this section.

NADUVOORKARAI PADRAKALI AMMAN MANAMAKIL MANTRAM:
The Manamakil Mantram (Happiness Club) was established in Naduvoorkarai in the year 1961.It was inaugurated by EX-TamilNadu Chief minister K.Kamaraj on 24/04/1961. It was rebuilt in year 2007.The Happiness Club's mission is to inspire and enable young people to embrace positive values, to openly express themselves with conviction and courage, to actively participate in developing individual skills and talents, and to confidently pursue productive futures as responsible, contributing members of society. It has a mini library which consists of more than 200 story books. There is also Television which was the device which connected the people with the outside world, people used to watch news and sports (especially Cricket) as a group in the early days when televisions are not available in houses.
